Like frogger, but real life

I've decided to keep a running tally of times that I almost die in Mexico - so far I'm up to 4! Score! For the record, being a pedestrian in Mexico City is like playing frogger. One would assume that you walk with the green light, right? Wrong! Red and green lights mean nothing here - they're merely suggestions. One would also assume that being in a crosswalk means that cars have to stop, right? Wrong again! Cars speed up to try and hit you while in a cross walk, especially really white people like me (that last part I'm only 20% sure about). It's 3:30 here and I will spend the rest of my day in my room watching E! in Spanish. I'm too tired to venture out into the mess that is this strange city. And no worries, this will not be turn into my travel blog - I do not intend to hog anything. I just need some English human contact, alright?!
