T.M.B.G.
I had the pleasure of catching the They Might Be Giants concert at the House of Blues in San Diego last night. It was a 14 and Up show, which as the lead singer said was "very sophisticated." It was an interesting show as I was surrounded by a very diverse crowd. By that I mean it was white nerds of all ages and weight classes. Everyone there was either an adolescent or was in some way trying to relive their adolescence. It was also very clear that everyone there would have been perfectly happy for them to play the entire album "Flood" from start to finish, and that the band had NO intention of doing that very thing. They played a lot of new stuff which was very good, and peppered in some songs from flood, but ended the first set with Birdhouse In Your Soul, ended the first encore with Istanbul, and ended the second encore with Particle Man. But any time they played one of those songs they did it a little different because it was clear they have been playing those songs since 1990 and are getting a little sick of them. It was a fun show, tickets a little pricey, but the least intimidating crowd I have ever been around at a concert. Yay I posted!

What the people really want is a Chad and Nick a cappella version of Flood. We could make millions.
Idiot.
good thing you patted yourself on the back for that post, because no one else was going to do it.
Why you gotta be so mean?
you make it so easy....
It's a good think I don't have to go to a concert any time need to hear the entire album of Flood start to finish.
